I love the way Hartwig just strips down a building or a monument to it’s essence and essential make up, and then recreates in such a great quirky way in his style!
Take the London Eye & Westminster for example – I am sure you have seen many great pictures of both in different types of weathers and from many different angles. You probably saw the beautiful paintings and illustrations of these 2 iconic London monuments. Now look at Hartwig’s version – can you see what I mean? Look at the way all the building grow to different directions – yet it all makes sense in a way.
I adore his colour choices. He spends hours choosing the right hues for every little spot, but it is all worth it at the end – no?
